New Micklegate walk leaflet launched

map leaflet

We launched our latest free walk leaflet at our history group talk last week. Following on from our Bishophill and Skeldergate walk leaflet, this one features Micklegate. It's based on our new book, and highlights many of the key buildings on the street, with a detailed location map. We're very grateful to John Stevens, who is one of our Trustees, for devising this walk.

The route starts at the Ouse Bridge and follows Bridge St and Micklegate on the south side up to the Bar, before returning back on the north side. Micklegate has such a wealth of interesting features, dating over many centuries.

We're distributing it to a number of places, including the Local Studies Library at Explore York, the Amnesty Bookshop on Micklegate and Clements Hall. Do let us know if you would like a stock.

Fuller details of all the Micklegate buildings can be found in our new book Micklegate: the Great Street of York. For stockists visit our website.
