Clements Hall Local History Group uses personal information that we collect from you in line with the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR).

What personal information do we collect?

  • Email address

  • Post code

  • Postal address (only if you do not use email)

  • Type of membership

How we use your personal information

Your personal information is used to administer your membership (for example to send renewal reminders and to record the type of membership). We do not share your details with any other organisations or service providers.

We will keep your details for two years after your membership expires or is cancelled.

We can also email you with details of our activities (forthcoming talks, events, recorded talks etc). You must sign up for these separately. Please check you have filled in this section of the membership form. You can unsubscribe at any time by contacting the membership secretary.

Data storage

Your data is stored securely and is accessed only by authorised Trustees. 

Our website
When someone visits our website at www.clementshallhistorygroup.org.uk we use a third party service, Google Analytics, to collect standard internet log information and details of visitor behaviour patterns. We do this to find out things such as the number of visitors to the various parts of the site. This information is only processed in a way which does not identify anyone. We do not make, and do not allow Google to make, any attempt to find out the identities of those visiting our website.

Your personal information
You are entitled to view, amend, or delete the personal information that we hold. Our Data Protection Officer is our membership secretary, who can be contacted at chlhg.membership@gmail.com. Complaints about how we use your data should be directed to our Data Protection Officer in the first instance. If you are still unsatisfied, complaints can be sent to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).
